Who says you have to be a student to love back-to-school shopping? To be honest, it’s one of our favorite seasons. And Katie Holmes is in part to blame. The Dawson’s Creek star of our youth and forever fashion plate was spotted last week in NYC wearing skinny jeans with ballet flats and a Strathberry bag. Although her lime-green ruffle-edged knit top caught our eye first, it was her simple silver Mary Jane flats that reeled us in, sending us searching for the latest must-have fall footwear on our list.
Fortunately, we didn’t have to look too hard. These square-toe Franco Sarto shoes are readily available at Nordstrom and aren’t too hard on the wallet at $115. Even though this exact style is available in various colors, including basic black, we’re opting for the metallic shoe instead. Consider silver your new favorite neutral.
